Shipping Prohibited Goods

You are about to register a lost item and notify its owner, but you are unsure whether it is allowed to be shipped.

To consult the list of prohibited goods and see how we advise you to handle them, click the button below:

Cash

You are about to register an item belonging to one of the following categories:

  • Coins

  • Banknotes

Our Recommendation

Select the category "Means of Payment"

Then the subcategory "Cash"

Notify the owner

If your client requests a shipment

We will receive a notification as soon as they have made the shipping request and will contact you to advise you on the best option:

  • Send the cash via Mandat Cash

  • Cash the money and transfer it to the client after agreement with them and your financial department

Carriers do not allow the shipping of cash via post. Therefore, in the event of loss of the package, damage during transit, customs blockage, or a dispute upon arrival with the recipient, no recourse will be possible.

We therefore recommend that you do not ship cash.

Alcoholic Beverages

You are about to register an item belonging to one of the following categories:

  • Wine bottle

  • Champagne bottle

  • Spirits

  • ...

Our Recommendation

Select the category "Food Products"

Then the subcategory "Alcoholic Bottles"

Notify the owner

If your client requests a shipment

We will receive a notification once they have made the shipping request and will contact them to arrange the best way to ship (verify the value of the bottles, ensure you have suitable packaging, etc.).

Some carriers consider alcoholic beverages to be prohibited or highly regulated goods.

Additionally, since these are fragile items, and to avoid potential damage, it is necessary to use reinforced packaging suitable for such goods.

Shipping via a "standard" carrier, without specifying the nature of the shipment, is risky because in the event of loss, damage during transit, customs blockage, or a dispute upon arrival with the recipient, no recourse is possible.

Sensitive and/or Highly Regulated Goods

You are about to register an item belonging to one of the following categories:

  • Non-alcoholic beverages

  • Bank card

  • Perishable goods

  • Non-perishable goods

  • Medication

  • Sharp objects

  • Perfume

Our Recommendation

Select the corresponding subcategory in PeeK'in (see the table below for Category/Subcategory)

Category

Subcategory

Accessories

Sharp objects

Cosmetics

Medication

Perfume

Means of Payment

Bank card

Food Products

Non-alcoholic drinks

Perishable goods

Non-perishable goods

Then notify the owner

If your client requests a shipment

We will show them a message in the process, before they finalise their shipping order, reminding them that their item is considered a prohibited, highly regulated, and/or fragile good, and of the risk they face if they confirm the shipping request (e.g., blockage during transit, return to sender, customs fees to pay...), with no recourse against the carrier.

Depending on the destination country, the risk is higher or lower. For this reason, the risk reminder is shown for destinations different from the sender's country (e.g., France to Spain), where shipments may be by air and subject to enhanced customs checks.
