Getting Started with the New Interface

New Registration Process

Key Changes to Note:

  • You can now add up to 3 photos to the item card.

  • We have expanded and refined categories and subcategories.
    No need to add a title; the selected category and subcategory are sufficient.

  • Validate or modify the packaging and weight we suggest based on the selected category.

⚖️ No need to bring out the scales... Yeah! 🙌

To see how to register a found item in PeeK'in now, click on the process that suits you below:

Registering in PeeK'in
To begin:

  • Click on "+ New Item"

  • Add the photo(s) from your smartphone or PC
    💡 New feature: you can now add up to 3 photos!

Found Item

  • Select the discovery date

  • Indicate the name of the person who found the item

  • Specify the discovery location

  • Then the storage location

Item Description

  • Select the category

  • Then the subcategory of the item from the dropdown list

  • Specify if it's a valuable or fragile item by clicking the respective buttons

  • Did you not find the subcategory for your item?
    Select "Other" and enter the item's name.

Validate Packaging Information
Based on the selected item subcategory, PeeK'in will suggest:

  • An appropriate weight range (e.g., between 250g and 500g)

  • A recommended packaging
    No need to bring out the scales! Simply check and validate if everything seems appropriate. 🙌

🚨 Please verify that the suggested information (weight and packaging) aligns with the item you are registering.

If the details are incorrect, the carrier has the right to refuse the package or apply an additional shipping fee, which will be recharged to you.

If you need to adjust the information, simply select the appropriate options for your item from the dropdown lists.

Owner Information
Fill in the owner's details:

  • Title, First Name, Last Name

  • Their contact details: email and/or phone

  • Select language: French or English
    Then click Next

Not Sure About the Owner's Details?

  • Click on "I don't know the owner"

  • If you know the owner but not their contact details:
    Click on "I don't know the owner's contact details"

  • If you want to cover the shipping costs:
    Click on "I want to cover the shipping costs (Express)"

Notify the Owner

Once the information is recorded, you'll arrive at a summary of the details.

📨 Notify the owner by clicking on "Yes, thank you" to the question "Would you like to notify the owner now?"


💡 If you want to change any details before notifying, click "No, later" and return to the item card.

New Item Card Layout

The item card has been redesigned to offer better readability and more efficient use.
Now it consists of three key information blocks:

  • A summary of the recorded details

  • Actions to perform

  • History of actions taken

Digitisation of the Return Proof


To guarantee better traceability of your items, we now offer the option to record your return proof within the item card.
Two options:

  • If you're on a computer:


  • ➡️ Scan the PDF or take a photo of your return proof
    ➡️ Click "Save return proof" to add it

  • If you're on a tablet:
    ➡️ Have the person who collects the item sign the return proof on the tablet
    ➡️ Electronically sign the document

You are using an HK software (RoomChecking, 1Check)


You have connected your HK software (RoomChecking, HOPR, 1Check) to your PeeK'in account.


In this case, it's very simple. The objects registered in your HK software will arrive in PeeK'in with part of the information already filled out (e.g., photo, discovery location, discovery date...).

To finalize the registration:

  1. Go back to the object record from the TodoBoard, "Discovery" column

  2. Click on "Complete object" in the "Actions" area

  3. Then complete the requested information

💡 The title entered in your HK software (Room Checking, HOPR, 1Check) will appear in the "Note" section of the object record.

Make sure to select the category and then the subcategory corresponding to your object.

➡️ Couldn’t find the subcategory corresponding to your object?
Select "Other"

Modify the item


The photo taken from your HK software will appear.
➡️ You can modify it
➡️ Or... a new feature! 🙌 You can add 2 new photos if needed.

Verify the information previously entered and modify it if necessary:
➡️ The discovery date of the object
➡️ The name of the person who discovered the object
➡️ The discovery location
➡️ The storage location

Select the category and then the subcategory of the object from the dropdown list.

💡 The title entered in your HK software will appear in the "Note" section of the object record.

Make sure to select the correct category and subcategory for your object to validate the registration.

Couldn’t find the subcategory for your object?

  • Select "Other" and then enter the name of your object.

  • Specify if it’s a valuable item and if it’s fragile by clicking the buttons.

Validate the packaging information


Based on the subcategory of the object you selected, PeeK'in will suggest:
A corresponding weight range (e.g., between 250g and 500g)

  • A recommended packaging
    No need to get the scale out! You just need to verify and confirm if everything seems suitable. 🙌

🚨 Please verify that the suggested information (weight and packaging) matches the object you are registering.

If incorrect information is provided, the carrier has the right to refuse the parcel or apply additional shipping charges.

If you need to change the information, just select the appropriate options from the dropdown lists.

Fill in the owner's information


- Verify the information already entered in your HK software that appears here and complete the missing information about the owner:

  • Title, First Name, Last Name

  • Their contact details: email and/or phone

  • Select the language: French or English

  • Then click on "Next"

Don’t know the owner of this object?


➡️ Click on "I don’t know the owner"

Know the owner but not their contact details?

➡️ Click on "I don’t know the owner’s contact details"

Would you like to cover the shipping costs?

➡️ Click on "I want to offer the shipping costs (Express)"

Notify the owner


The information registration is complete, and you’ll see a summary of the recorded information.

📨 Notify the owner by clicking "Yes, thank you" to the question "Do you want to notify the owner now?"

💡 If you want to modify some information before notifying, click "No, later" and then return to the object record.

New object record display


The object record has been redesigned to provide better readability and more efficient use.

Digitizing the proof of return
To ensure better traceability of your objects, we now offer the option to record your proof of return in the object record.

Two options:


If you’re on a computer
➡️ Scan it as a PDF or take a photo of your proof
➡️ Then click "Save proof of return" to add it

If you’re on a tablet
➡️ Have the person collecting the object on the designated day complete the proof of return on the tablet
➡️ And have them sign the document electronically

Shipping Management


Now, when you have an object to ship, go back to the object record, go to the "Actions" block

  • Print all shipping documents from the "Print shipping documents" button

  • Print the personalized message to include in the package from the "Other actions" button

💡 New feature: All shipping documents are now grouped in a single PDF file (shipping label, proforma invoice, CN23) with the correct number of copies.

Now you can print all documents with a single click! 🙌

🚨 Always remember to date and sign the proforma invoice in 3 copies and place everything behind the shipping label in the document holder, above the packaging.
