Tailor your PeeK’in account settings to suit your organisation

To achieve this, we aim to ensure your account settings match your operational reality as closely as possible.
How can you adapt them to your organisation?

Customise item registration to suit your processes
Set up internal notification emails
Register your discovery and storage locations
You may currently find and store lost property in several different areas.
PeeK’in lets you personalise both the discovery and storage locations according to how things are set up at your site.
Discovery Locations
To add, edit, or delete a discovery location:
Go to the “Settings” tab
Scroll to the “Items Registration” section
Then look for: “Where do you most often find lost items?”
Add a discovery location
Click “+ Add location”
Enter the name of the location (e.g. Room, Restaurant, Reception, Vehicle, etc.)
Add a reference (if needed)
If a reference is required for the location:
Enter the label in the “Reference label” field
Tick “Reference required” if you want this field to be mandatory when selecting that location
Example:
If you often find items in rooms and you have multiple rooms:
Name = “Room”
Reference label = “Room number”
Reference required = “Yes”
So when logging a new item, the team member selects “Room” as the discovery location and then adds the specific room number (e.g. 102).
This works for vehicles too:
Name = “Vehicle”
Reference label = “Registration number”
Or for Restaurant, Meeting Room, etc. — if you have several of them!
Edit a discovery location
Click on the text field or the pencil icon to edit.
Delete a discovery location
Click the cross at the end of the row to delete it.
Change the order of discovery locations
Hover over the grey area with the two arrows at the start of the row, then drag and drop to re-order.
To make logging easier, the first item on the list will be suggested by default when registering a new object.
🔔 Don’t forget to click “Save” at the bottom of the page to apply your changes.
Storage Locations
To add, edit or delete a storage location:
Go to the “Settings” tab
Scroll to the “Item Registration” section
Then look for: “Where do you store found items?”
Add a storage location
Click “+ Add location”
Enter the name of the storage location (e.g. Reception, Safe, Luggage room, etc.)
Edit a storage location
Click on the text field or pencil icon to edit.
Delete a storage location
Click the cross at the end of the row.
🔔 Don’t forget to click “Save” at the bottom of the page to apply your changes.
Edit collection slot time ranges
To offer time slots that match your opening hours, PeeK’in allows you to set custom collection slot times.
Go to “Settings”
Then to “Your organisation”
Here, you can:
Tick your open days / untick your closed days
Adjust hours 🕙
Add multiple time slots in one day
Change slot durations (15, 30 or 45 minutes)
🔔 Don’t forget to click “Save” at the bottom of the page.
Update your billing information
Go to “Settings”
Then “Billing Information”
Make the necessary changes
🔔 Don’t forget to click “Save” to apply them!
💡 The default details are those provided during onboarding.
Customise your marketing message
When sending a parcel, PeeK’in allows you to print a marketing message from the object file and include it in the package to reconnect with your customer.
How to customise this message:
Go to the “Settings” tab
Then to “Marketing Messages”
Scroll to the section “Would you like to include a personalised message in your parcels?”
Edit the default message
In the text box, update your message in French, English or Spanish.
You can also update the QR code link for each language.
The barcode will redirect users to the link when scanned (e.g. your website).
Preview the message
Click “Preview” under each version (French, English, Spanish) to view the layout.
🔔 Don’t forget to click “Save” to apply your changes.
Upload your own PDF
Go to “Settings”
Then to “Parcel Messages”
Go to “Use a PDF file” and tick the box
Upload your file
Click the upload icon for French, English or Spanish,
Then select your PDF file.
🔔 Don’t forget to click “Save” to apply your changes.
Note: The document must be in PDF format.
Update email and SMS contact details
Go to “Settings”
Then “Communication with item owners”
Here you can change the sender name for SMS and the contact email address.
SMS sender names must be between 4 and 11 characters (as per telecom regulations).
Change the language of your PeeK’in application
Go to “Settings”
Then “Your Information”
Change the application language

Set notification email recipients
Depending on your organisation type (A, B, C or D) and the number of steps in your lost item process (1, 2 or 3), alerts will be sent to relevant team members:
When an item is registered, to complete information
When notifying the owner, for actions such as preparing shipment or arranging collection
To add, edit or remove email recipients, select your organisation type:
Organisation A
Go to “Settings”
Then “Your organisation”
Scroll to “Email(s) of the person(s) in charge of shipping or on-site handovers”
Add an email: enter the address and press Enter or click “Add”
Delete an email: click the cross
You can add multiple addresses.

Organisation B
Here you can edit recipients in two areas:
Owner Contact Details
Shipping & On-site Handovers
Same process:
Add: enter the email and press Enter
Delete: click the cross

Organisation C
Same as Organisation B — update the recipients for:
Owner Contact Details
Shipping & On-site Handovers
Use the same method to add/delete.
